Park Features:
The Skyway Park is located in the Skyway neighborhood, between Seattle and Renton, only in about 11 miles from Seattle. Skyway Park and the neighborhood itself sits atop of a tall field and offers wonderful views of the surrounding territories.
The park offers lots of possibilities for its visitors: ballfields, basketball and tennis courts, wonderful picnic area and play structures for kids.
There are three wetlands in the park that function as one of the sources of Taylor Creek. This creek is known for being a salmon-bearing stream that flows into Lake Washington.
The area that’s now is the park was originally a swamp and a valley that was filled by dirt taken from local hills in the 1950s and 1960s.
