Ron Regis Park is a 45-acre park which is located along the Maple Valley Highway. The City of Renton has developed and expanded this territory and organized it for different sport activities.

Here visitors will find:

Ron Regis Park is considered to be a perfect example of the development of sport’s facilities by the City. In 1993 the City decided to support the desire and the interest of the community in organized sports.

In the future the City plans to expand the park even more and add one additional ball field and one soccer field along with public restrooms and concession building.

Its name the park received after Ron Regis, a City of Renton Park Board Member for the commitment to the community for 35 years.

It should be said that the City of Renton also think about the nature and its preservation. Only 12 and half acres of land are developed for the recreation aims and the rest of the territory are preserved in the natural conditions and are adjoined to the Cedar River.

In 1987 the City of Renton received this land from King County at no cost, but the City agreed on developing sports fields, recreation areas and on maintaining hiking trails.

The City also agreed to preserve public access to the Cedar River for fishing, hiking, and water activities.
