Northrup Canyon is a true nature sanctuary and a great place to get away from the city bustle. This hiking trail located in Steamboat Rock State Park, Washington state. It's mostly gravel path through flat valley turning to a rock trail over granite outcrops. The canyon walls are generally included bright-red color granite. But there are a lot of different colors that will be pleasing to your eye! Many years ago this place bustled with human activity. People living between the canyon walls even were growing fruit gardens and raising animals here!!! Now there is no one for miles, except birds in the sky! There is a large number of birds species in this area (hundred bald eagles living here). Because of it, this part of Steamboat Rock State Park designated as one of Grant County’s birding trails.
