While planning your trip to the Pacific Northwest you should definitely visit a wonderful city in Chelan County, Leavenworth. It’s a popular spot located 117 miles east of Seattle attracting outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, photographers and adventure-seekers. You won’t get bored! Everyone will find something fun to do in Leavenworth: hiking, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and more.

Leavenworth has so many hiking opportunities to offer. Blackbird Island is a dog-friendly area within the territory of Waterfront Park proving an acces to 3 fascinating trails: River Trail, Channel Trail, and Hot Sands Trail. Enjoy crystal clear river and breathtaking views of the mountain.  Each season is good for nature walks and exploring the island. We were lucky to have the hike in October. You will experience colorful fall foliage in the forest, crisp air and serene atmosphere by Wenatchee River making fall an amazing time for hiking.

The colors are spectacular! You will enjoy a short relaxing walk in the woods. It’s a good spot to reunite with nature and get nice views of the river. A beautiful scenery and soothing birdsong will take your breath! Enjoy the photos which will take you on a virtual tour along a beautiful Blackbird Island.
