Spectacular scenery, historical basalt cliffs, a mirror-silver …all these natural wonders and geologic formations are located in a close proximity to the Sun Lakes Resort – one of the best places for your stay in the area.

It’s a nice place for wonderful possibilities for recreation: campsites, RV camping, cabins, lots of picnic tables, golf fields, mini golf fields, miles of hiking trails for nature lovers, great fishing opportunities, etc.

The resort is a very short distance to the main natural attractions of the region that were formed many years ago during ice-age floods. These floods created fabulous wonders that attract thousands of tourists annually.

The Coulee Corridor (Highway 17) is one of the best scenic drives near the resort. It is leading past Sun Lakes.

Dry Falls is also situated close to the resort. This magnificent waterfall was four times larger than Niagara Falls. Visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of this natural monument from an on-site visitor center.

Lake Lenore Caves are also famous among the visitors of the resort. Not a difficult trail takes you to the wonderful and unusual caves that were used by native as shelters hundreds years ago.

Sun Lake Resort offers several types of cabins to fit the needs of any family and budget.

Each RV site has water, power, sewer and a picnic table. For visitors’ convenience, the RV park has public restrooms with metered hot showers as well as a laundry facility. Tenters are also welcome.

Reservation Information:
The resort begins accepting reservations BY MAIL ONLY on the following dates:
Requests for Apr., May & June of the following year will be accepted by mail starting October 1st of the current year.
Requests for July of the following year will be accepted by mail starting November 1st of the current year.
Requests for Aug., Sept., & Oct. of the following year will be accepted by mail starting December 1st of the current year.
Phone-in reservations for the upcoming season are accepted starting the first Monday in January.
Reservations are not required. Drop-ins are always welcome when space is available! However, we highly recommend making a reservation, as demand is often high.
