The Tolmie Peak Trail is one of the beautiful landscape trails overlooking Mount Rainier. The 6.5 mile round trip trail will take you past the amazing Eunice Lake, touching and vibrant alpine meadows, relict trees, and up to Tolmie Peak Lookout, from where you will have a stunning view of the ancient volcano! The trail starts near Lake Mowich, goes downhill for a while, and then goes up steeply. The climb to the observation deck is quite difficult, but definitely worth the effort.
Our filmmakers Roman and Mykhailo set off to conquer the Tolmie Peak trail and shoot this exciting 4K walking tour video in August 2022. It was a very hot day, and there were incredibly many mosquitoes in the forest! Our adventurers and natural beauty seekers have been attacked by these winged insects and are warned to bring mosquito spray with you if you decide to hike this trail! But otherwise, this hike was cool, beautiful and definitely deserves a place in the collection of the most scenic trails!
