And this is the view of Colchuck Lake – a fascinating alpine lake with Dragontail and Colchuck Peaks rising above it like fairy-tale giant twins, guarding their precious jewel.
Waterfront Park located along the bank of Wenatchee River became a real rescue place both for locals and visitors from the noise and hustle of the tourist center. It is really amazing how peaceful and secluded it is being so close to the downtown area. It makes the Waterfront Park a real hidden gem of Leavenworth.
Eightmile Lake is one of the most admirable and well-known natural features of the marvelous Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. It’s quite hard to describe with words a magnificent lake, encircled by gorgeous mountains with snow-covered peaks, and quite few photos are able to capture all the beauty of this fantastic place.
