Situating in the center of Downtown Seattle, Freeway Park becomes a great recreation place for employees and residents of downtown area. It’s also one of the most popular places in Seattle for tourists to visit.
Sam Smith Park is a cozy park that is situated in the central part of the I-90 lid. Here you will find a nice play area for kids of different ages, numerous picnic tables, and tennis courts for your active recreation.
Dr. Jose Rizal Park is a 9.6-acre park, which is situated on the west slope of Beacon Hill in Seattle. The park offers stunning and dramatic views of Seattle, its’ downtown, Safeco Field, Columbia Tower, Century Link Field, The Great Wheel, the Port of Seattle, Elliot Bay and much more.
The city of Seattle has numerous small parks that are considered to be real gems. Bhy Kracke Park is one of these parks. This small 1.5 acre park is located on the eastern part of Queen Anne Hill. It offers great views of the Seattle’s skyline, the central part of the city, Lake Union, Capitol Hill, the Space Needle and the Cascades.
Ella Bailey Park is a kid friendly park that was opened in spring of 2007. The park was created on the territory of the former Magnolia Elementary School Playground. Seattle Parks and Recreation together with the neighborhood and with the help of $1.4 million from the Pro Parks Levy renovated the park.
Marshall Park is probably one of the smallest parks in Seattle. This park was also known as “Phelps Place”. It was situated across Parsons Garden before Queen Anne Boulevard was expanded and improved.
Gas Works Park is a public park that is located on the territory of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant. It is situated on the shore of Lake Union.
