For Renton residents and guests, one of the best alternatives is the Henry Moses Aquatic Center. After being opened in the year 2004 as the 3rd segment of the Renton City Complex located in Cedar River Park, this aquatic center very quickly became one of the favorite places for family recreation.
Cougar Mountain Zoo is an 8-acre zoological park which is owned by a family in Issaquah, Washington. It should be said from the very beginning that this is a small park, much smaller than traditional zoos such as the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle or Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma.
Woodland Park Zoo is a very popular destination among tourists and residents of Seattle, which is situated around the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. Originally this place was a usual small wild beast show that was owned by a lumber mill owner Guy C. Phinney. Nowadays, the park includes 92 acres of different exhibits and it is open daily.
The first week in July is considered to be one of the most important for Seattle because it’s the beginning of Seafair week. This is the best time of the year for such events because the weather is great. Usually Seafair events take place throughout July.
The Coal Creek Falls Trail is an amazing trail which can be found at Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park. The park itself is located in King County, and is actually considered to be the biggest wildland park, widespread within the urban area, in the whole Washington State.
